The collision occurred near Adamuz on Sunday night.
Spanish police said Monday that at least 39 people died in the a high-speed train collision Sunday in southern Spain and rescue efforts were continuing.
Crews were working to retrieve bodies after two high-speed trains derailed in southern Spain. The regional authorities said 41 people were hospitalized, with a dozen of them in intensive care.
The black-and-white pooch bolted Sunday in the aftermath of the high-speed train crash in southern Spain that killed at least 45 people.
